JULY 2 - Qualifiers

Yatika and Brooklyn Jon. Yatika's been consistently top 5 of the past alleycats.

Mike, the coolest rider from Team Rockland.

CMWC XIII 2005 Checkpoints

The first heat set to go.

Second Heat

Austin messed up at qualifying but he made revenge following night's alleycat finished in 2nd! Nick somehow thought CO2 inflator was "dork" used a air-pump instead, broke tube valve at the 'Fix' checkpoint rode the last lap with flat tyre, still qualified. Good going guys.

Trackstand Qualifers

Trackstand main compe at 10 min. one hand stand moved on to no hands here.

This New Zeelander from Denmark qualified on every categories include Bunny Hops. Pretty awesome.

One Foot at fifteen minutes!

At this point we should've all go home see if this guy still on no hands, no foot stand thru the night!!

Meessenger KAZE staff who organizes KYOTO LOCO tabling with T-Serv.

Gon and Minira. Most likely T-Serv's the largest messenger company on the earth. They have nearly 200 messengers listed!

Go-Go's calm and ease at the startline.

Four messengers from Japan qualified.

The main race commenced.

Go-Go gets watergunned by Checker's.

He was lucky didn't lock his bike on the vertical scaffold pipe. Checkpoint guards remove the pipe taking the bike with it!

Minira at the Light Wheels checkpoint.

Nick revived by the lemonades refreshment from Light Wheels.

Go-Go was the first finisher from Japan!

Craig who organized R1 hauled Go-Go over front of him insisting Go-Go finish first. Incredibly ice guy.

Daisuke was next.

Planning for KYOTO LOCO?

Minira-san

MINIRA was named after GODZILLA's progeny? Goddit?

Gon-san

The champ and the second best.

Shino's skid practice.

Daisuke's

Thank you for coming all way from Japan.

Daisuke at skid main compe.

I think this guy won the skid breaking the world record in the process.

KING OF THE FUCKING STREETS

Shino-san from CYCLEX and Haru-san before the race.

The race commenced in 11:30pm, 90+ alleycats were unleashed to the streets. In addition to clear the checkpoints, a shot at ROCKSTARS, another Remmy shot & a chaser at TRACKSTAR were required. Out of thurst, I had another bottle of beer at Queens Boro, too. Big mistake!

Shino (right) was tenth place. Haru san followed. Later learned that Shino was the TOKYO 2005 Alleycat Champ, Haru was the 3rd. No wonder they're fast nevertheless it's their first NYC alleycat.

Austin finished in 2nd, the first fixed gear, smoked us all!

Yatika 5th place, his City Bikes was the first team finisher.

King Felipe and Queen Nona. The celebration was well into three in the morning...

JULY 4 - Kissena

Shino lined behind Alfred.

Unflappable Haru was on flip-flops! I don't think anyone raced Kissena like that!

Haru held the lead but...

Kissena to Red Hook BBQs!

We should've been on a frontpage. 200 messengers lost in Queens!!

Starving messengers didn't break riots over two hrs+ waiting line for FOOD!
